Emerging blinking from the depths of Winter to find that nine months have passed, it's certainly time for an update. First off a new CD called Plugged! is available. This is a best-of compilation of various one-offs and less ambient tracks from the last few years. Web price is £5+P&P. Or you can buy a copy at the Moog Tribute Concert in London tonight, where there will be an Awen contribution on lasers.

Plugged will be available as a DVD dual-video album sometime in the next few months. AWEN HQ has been buzzing with the sound of video rendering over the Winter - one animation literally took more than two weeks to render on the new 4.2GHz dual-core - so there's plenty of raw material available to be edited together now. Once it's ready clips will go up on a new improved and much less minimal site.

Finally, there's almost an hour's worth of sketches in progress for the next album. This will be more traditional electronica with fewer of the ambient interludes on First Contact. Expected completion date will be the Autumn. But there's another project that has to be finished in time for July here, so that's currently taking priority.

The medium term plan is to offer CD sales by download online. These will be full CD quality, not MP3s, with printable artwork. For iPod fans MP3s will also be available. Watch this space...

Thanks to everyone who said how much they enjoyed the set at Awakenings last night. The plan now is firstly to get the smoke machine fixed, and after that to put together a limited edition compilation CD/DVD of visuals and music from the set with a half hour bonus track from last year's gig at St Cyprian's in London. Look out for this in the early Autumn. In the meantime the First Contact CD-R is still available for £5+P&P. Contact Awen HQ for a copy.

This website will also be developed over the course of the next few months to include photos, more information about the music and visuals, and news about other appearances and projects.

For CD orders, questions, comments and other contact, and also to be kept up to date email awen@skydancer.com for (very occasional) mail outs and other information.

Although there's not much here yet this will eventually become the main Awen site. Right now it's busy time working on a set of completely new material with new visuals for the Awakenings gig in July in Leeds, which will feature nearly an hour of new music and specially created video effects.
